Little Women by Louisa May Alcott follows the lives of four women- Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy. Set in New England during the Civil War, this story teaches us to grow and learn from our mistakes just like the four sisters- Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy do. Each of the young ladies has a "burden" or character flaw. Similarly, we too may have some flaws that we must recognise and overcome to reach our goals. The story also conveys the message that happy endings may not always turn out as expected.
